The war in Iraq has put America at risk

While Bush is over in Iraq he has dropped the ball on home land security and has put us at risk from attack both at home an aboard. Pissing off people around the world does not help Americans in anyway. It does not help our troops stationed or on leave in foreign countries around the world. It does not help the American tourist who may decide to visit a foreign country. Our national guard should be home protecting America and our infrastructure while our troops should be rooting out Al Qaida and putting the grab on Bin Ladden, not as targets fighting a war based on lies and miss information. The problem with leading the people to war based on lies is, fewer and fewer people willing to join the military and more people willing to join the other side as fighters or sympathizers. Sympathizers and people on the fence may pose the greatest threat. Sympathizers may be willing to provide logistics, money, support, look the other way or provide other kinds of help while people on the fence may decide to act. They say those who forget the past are destined to repeat it. Have they forgotten our forefathers who fought the British, might does not make right nor does it assure victory. Many a great empire has been destroyed after their troops had been pushed to the limit and the war in Iraq is starting to put a strain on ours. We have not done very well in the wars we start in the name of Democracy the US has overthrown a government or two however over time few if any have lasted, wasn't the Shaw of Iran one of our guys. If China made a move on Taiwan or North Korea started heading south or Iran or another country made a move on Iraq would we have the extra man power and artillery to stop them? Some people believe it is better to fight wars in others countries to keep war from shores of America. There may have been a time this was true, however the war on terror is not a war against a country it is war against groups of individuals who don't like Bush, America or what's going on Iraq. Bush has put America at risk with his war in Iraq and while the troops are away the terrorist may come home to roost.
